When we want to focus on how two or more things are different we can use one of the following expressions:

- Unlike…
A student and I watched the following video and then described the differences between a virtual night club and a real night club. After the video you can read some of our ideas.
Unlike a real club, you can’t feel the club buzzing.
Unlike a real club, you can’t smell a beautiful girl’s perfume.
However, in contrast to a real club, if the guy who tries to chat you up has got bad breath, you can’t smell it.
In contrast to a real club, there are no problems finding a cab/taxi to take you home afterwards.
